A gorgeous little cabin in a secluded town – great for a disconnected getaway (no reception or wifi anywhere). It was cozy and warm in the cabin with the fire going on an unseasonally cold night and we curled up comfortably with our food, drinks and some music provided by the CD player. This cabin is so close to everything, including walkable distance to the pub for a drink and a meal – we recommend the steak, lamb and/or wedges!
We absolutely LOVED our stay. It was one of the best weekends we’ve had. Thank you so much for sharing it cottage with us and we will definitely be back! X
Awesome little cottage, close to town, and to nature. Absolutely loved it!
Stringers cottage was the perfect get away location. A very homey feel with such character. Lovely fireplace which keeps you nice and cosy. Would highly recommend staying at stringers cottage and we will definitely be back over winter.
We loved the cosy romantic atmosphere of the cottage and were able to walk into town from there. It was also lovely to see the train go by from the cottage. As is probably common for Walhalla there was an electricity/lighting issue at one point, but Anna got straight on top of it quickly and it was fixed within an hour.
“Stringers cottage is a beautiful place to escape to. The surroundings are peaceful, the cottage is cozy and homey, and it was a great location for exploring the historical town.”
Really enjoyed our stay, at Stringers and would consider booking again. The attention to detail, books games, history and location, were particularly enjoyable. No sign of marsupial mouse but were visited in the morning by a Pied Currawong, after some of our breakfast.
